Mester (President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland), "Who Said Large Banks Don't Experience Scale Economies? Evidence from a Risk-Return-Driven Cost Function" (Journal of Financial Intermediation, 2013), was cited by Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) in comments on a speech by Federal Reserve Vice Chairman Stanley Fischer and by Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) as well as in testimony by Prof. Richard Herring of the Wharton School.
